Appointment Scheduling Policy

Students must leave at least 2 hours between tutoring sessions for the same class. For example, if you schedule a MTH 091 appointment at 11:30, you cannot schedule another MTH 091 appointment until 2:30.
Students are limited to 2 appointments per day in any given class. For example, you may not have more than 2 appointments for BI 112 in the same day, but you could still schedule an appointment for CS 160 that day.
Students are limited to 2 appointments per day with any given tutor.

Any violation of these restrictions will result in an automatic cancellation of one or more appointments.

No-Show Policy

A "no-show" is defined as arriving to an appointment more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time, or not at all. Please note that tutors will not stay late to accommodate a late arrival.

A "late cancellation" is cancelling a tutoring appointment within one hour of the appointment start time. This is considered equivalent to a no-show.

The Tutoring Center follows a 3-strike policy for no-shows.

1st No-Show: You will receive an email and a text reminding you of these policies
2nd No-Show: You will be unable to schedule any new tutoring appointments for 72 hours.
3rd No-Show: You will be unable to schedule any new tutoring appointments for the rest of the term. Any previously-scheduled appointments will be cancelled.

eTutoring Policy

This policy relates specifically to student usage of eTutoring, a separate service than our Navigate appointment-based tutoring.

Students are limited to three (3) uses of eTutoring each week (Sun-Sat). A single use of eTutoring includes the following:
- Dropping in to a live tutor session, regardless of duration
- Submitting or following up on an eQuestion
- Submitting a paper to the Writing Lab
Exceeding this limit once will result in an email warning.
Continuing to exceed this limit, or particularly egregious overuse, will result in your eTutoring account being suspended.
